Responsibilities :Ensure the delivery process is operated in compliance with HAVI’s standards for inter DC and inter islandsEnsure the delivery process meets customers’ requirementsMonitor the delivery process to achieve distribution efficiency measurements (DEM) such as warehouse productivity, service level and cost effectiveEnsure effective routing arrangement of all daily needed out-bound deliveries by integrating the needs and constraints of Inventory Control, Center and Transportation to compile the weekly scheduleSupervising the cost, quality and efficiency of the delivery movement of goodsAchieve outstanding results in regular HACCP / DPI / DQMP auditsEnsure adequate manpower planned for the day to day operationReinforce continuous process, quality and cost improvements by researching and developing new operational practice and technological advancementEnsure safety at work and security at the transportation processMonitor the performance of contractors and vendorsEnsure the equipments are operated and maintained in proper mannerPrevent the company assets from damage and ensure the maintenance is timely executed Ensure cleanliness of trucks is maintained at a high levelMonitor the performance of contractors and vendorsBuild up the center and enhance service level through leading, motivating, coaching, training, leveraging, sharing information and job enrichmentReview routes for new storesMaking sure that drivers and handlers are trained on work safety Maintaining the conditions of Havi owned trucks Train drivers and put in place measure to prevent pilferage and accidentsWeekly store audits to evaluate the quality of the transport services provided to storesEnsure all contract staff time cards are checked for no abuseMonitor fuel usage and monthly vehicle maintenance cost for prevention of abuseEnsure products are handled in good condition within delivery process and the transport fleet is maintained at a high level.Deploy facilities, equipments and manpower resources to achieve pre-set performance and operational targets.Ensure the delivery process is operated in compliance with all the internal standard operating procedures and suggest improvement measures.Lead and develop team to a high performing successful operation team.Supervise direct reports and indirect reportsMaintain internal contacts with department heads and staff of the Inventory Control, Customer Services, and Center and external contacts with vendors and contractorsWork to ensure accident free transportationDealing with key customers and store managers to ensure transport operational excellencePerformance management of outsourcing contractorsEstablishes and maintains effective relationships with customers and gains their trust & respectKeep a rational response when customers require, complain and praise Skills & QualificationProblem solvingStrategic thinkingGood communication, presentation and supervisory skillsGood command in MS Office Applications, such as Word, Powerpoint, and Excel.Minimum 5 or more years of proven experience in managing supply chain system transportation and able to handle refrigerated trucks.Must possess a recognized diploma from recognized institution
