Job Description
Market Penetration: Identify key government institutions and public sector entities, understand their security needs, and develop strategies to position our IT security solutions as the best fit.Business Development: Generate new leads, build a robust sales pipeline, and manage the end-to-end sales process, from initial contact to contract negotiation and closing deals.Relationship Building: Cultivate strong relationships with decision-makers, influencers, and stakeholders within government agencies to understand their pain points and security requirements.Solution Presentation: Effectively communicate the features, benefits, and value propositions of our security solutions to potential clients, highlighting how our offerings address their specific challenges. Customised Solutions: Collaborate with our technical teams to develop tailored security solutions that meet the unique needs and compliance requirements of government clients.Market Intelligence: Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging security threats relevant to government institutions. Use this knowledge to position solutions as essential.Sales Strategy: Develop and execute a strategic sales plan for the government and public sector, including identifying key targets, setting sales goals, and tracking progress.Sales Collateral: Work with marketing and technical teams to create compelling sales collateral, presentations, and proposals that effectively showcase our solutions’ features and benefits.Negotiation: Lead contract negotiations and pricing discussions with clients, ensuring favourable terms for both parties while maintaining company profitability.Sales Forecasting: Provide accurate sales forecasts and regular sales reports to senior management, including insights into market trends and challenges.
The Successful Applicant
A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field. Master’s degree will be a plus.Proven track record of successfully selling Solutions to government institutions and the public sector – specifically to the Ministry of Defense and Police. In-depth understanding of government procurement processes, compliance requirements, and decision-making structures.Strong network of contacts within government agencies and a demonstrated ability to establish new relationships.Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.Strategic thinking and ability to develop and execute effective sales strategies.Familiarity with Safety and Security technologies and trends is preferred (Surveillance, Radio, Network, Software, etc.)Self-motivated, driven, and result-oriented individual.Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.Willingness to travel as needed to meet clients and attend industry events.
