- Comply with Occupational Health and Safety and Environmental requirements and requirements relating to Contractors working at site.
- Compile and distribute all requested reports in a timely manner.
- Ensure a good working knowledge of the Port & Logistics Operations and Procurement/Purchasing Department procedures and objectives, along with the relevant Government regulations pertaining to import and export of materials.
- Act a liaison to all Freight Forwarding offices at origins.
- Attend major departmental weekly coordination meetings on a regular basis to ensure current PROJECT OWNER priorities relating to material movements are known.
- Witness the unstuffing of ocean freight deliveries on a regular basis and issue written report back to the concerned Freight Forwarding warehouse in case of any issues and/or concerns related to the deliveries.
- Ensure SAP information regarding offsite receipts and shipping information is accurate and inputted in timely manner in accordance with the requirements of the service Agreement.
- At all times act as the first line of contact and to strive for continual improvement of the Services contracted and improvement to logistics process.
- Supervise, train and oversee the development of a junior site based Logistic Coordinator.
- Participate in the receipt and warehousing of materials upon arrival at site including assistance in the resolution of packing and marking problems, type and quantity discrepancies and damage in transit issues.
- Provide prompt response for shipment options for any urgent materials.
Your Skills and Experiences
- Formal qualifications and have strong written and oral English language skills.
- Min 5 years experience in international freight forwarder preferably in relation with construction project or operations of a large multinational company.
- Having experience and basic understanding of the Indonesian importation and exportation system.
- Well-developed computer skills, advanced Microsoft word processing skills, MIMS / Ellipse System experience preferable.
- Ability to maintain effective systems and processes, maintain database, prepare reports, and required presentations.
- Ability to train and motivate employees and to delegate responsibility.
