Job Description
Seeking a skilled and experienced Commercial Manager to be based in Surabaya. As the Commercial Manager, you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing commercial strategies to drive business growth and maximize profitability. You will be responsible for managing key client relationships, negotiating contracts, and overseeing the commercial operations in Surabaya.
Responsibilities:
Develop and execute commercial strategies to meet revenue targets and drive business growth.Identify new business opportunities and expand customer base in the shipping and logistics industry.Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and industry stakeholders.Lead contract negotiations, ensuring favorable terms and conditions.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement pricing strategies.Monitor market trends, customer demands, and competitive activities to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.Oversee the commercial operations, including revenue forecasting, budgeting, and cost control.Provide guidance and support to the sales team in achieving their targets.Prepare regular reports on sales performance, market analysis, and commercial activities for senior management.
The Successful Applicant
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.Proven experience in a commercial management role within the shipping or logistics industry.In-depth knowledge of the maritime sector, including market trends and regulatory frameworks.Strong business acumen with the ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.Results-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving targets and driving growth.Strong leadership skills and the ability to effectively manage a team.Proficiency in MS Office and other relevant software applications.Fluency in English and Indonesian languages.
